“Faith is no more supportive than a kite in the wind; yet it’s loftiness still keeps us a afloat.” Another of the characters in the Inkling Series is The Flyer. Initially designed as standing on the edge of a shelf, supported by his “kite”, he is also quite good hanging from his support cable along a flat wall supported by the Climber’s support “arm”.

Figure – Approximately 8″x 4″x 5″ with 6′ black coated steel cable. Bronze, Limited Edition. (Stainless Steel with clear coated steel cable also available by special order.)

The Climber

A very popular piece, the Climber is part of  the “Inkling Series” of sculptures that depict varying human actions in stripped down, minimalist ways. He is available facing both right and left and is held aloft by a coated steel cable attached to a supporting “arm” that attaches above him to the wall. He is fully adjustable on the cable so he can be slid high up near the top, his “climb” nearly complete, or down lower with his struggle still ahead of him.

Figure -Approximately 6″x 9″x 4″ on a 6′ coated steel cable. Bronze Limited Edition (Stainless Steel Castings with clear coated cable by special order)

Leonard

A local worker who’s allegiance is to anyone with money to give, Leonard is nearly nomadic – the “Day Laborer” of his time. However, he would sooner disappear in to the woods and live off of the land before becoming one of the Duke’s indentured servants.

Approximately 10″x 8″x 8″. Bronze, Limited Edition.

Agnes

The Nanny. She is the true head of the household, maintaining order and efficiency now that the Duke’s children are grown. Her main fault is vanity. Her youth long spent on wiping noses, she attempts to hold herself together in the hopes that Prince Charming will one day sweep her away and cater to her every whim.

Approximately 15″x 13″x 11″

Measuring in at roughly 16″x 13″x 13″, this Limited Edition Bronze is also part of the Grotesque “Family”. Leonardo Da Vinci’s studies are remarkable in that they convey so much personality. Creating them three dimensionally was a wonderful experience that has shown me new ways of looking at the world itself.

The Duke

The Duke

One of the family of Da Vinci Grotesques created as a study to help define the line that creates beauty as well a to satirize the nobility of his time. This limited Edition bronze bust is approximately 13’x 15″x 17″ and available in a variety of patinas to fit your personal choice in colors. This particular patina suggests the color of the parchment that the original sketch was drawn on as well as the charcoal and red chalk used to illustrate it.
